I'm Ready to Learn More, Where Should I Go?
The mission at Digi Scrap Quick Pages is to help get your photos into albums. For seasoned scrapbookers that might just mean easy access to templates which will help you get moving more quickly. Or, even encourage you to give yourself permission to use Quick Pages, if you find the perfect page, why re-invent the wheel?
But, for those of you that are new to creating photo books, once you master the Quick Page and Template techniques, there are plenty of fantastic resources for learning more. And, with software as powerful as Photoshop, you could probably learn something new every day! Following are some of the places you should visit:
- DigiShopTalk.com (DST)-"The Hub of the Digital Scrapbooking Community", this forum is not associated with any store and is one of the most active discussion forums in the industry.
- Your favorite store- Many of the stores have their own discussion forum. Some are more active than others. Once you get the lay of the land in the digi scrap industry you might find a forum that feels like home. Two of the biggest stores with the most active forums are DesignerDigitals and TwoPeasinaBucket. Designer Digitals has a pretty comprehensive list of tutorials in their "Getting Started" section. DigitalScrapbookPlace.com is a smaller store that has a whole lot of online tutorials.
- ScrappersOnline.com-This is a rather new forum, but like DST is is store neutral and growing in popularity. Thier goal is to become the place with the most digital scrapbooking tutorials.
- CottageArts.net-A great resource with quite a few tutorials.
- Ali Edwards-A well known designer who bridges both the digital and paper scrapbooking worlds has some good tutorials on her site.
- Jessica Sprague-Another well known and widely published designer who teaches online classes for a fee.
- Renee Pearson-Has a great fee based series, for beginners!
